Global Account Director

Locations: Atlanta, Milwaukee

Responsible for directing and planing strategic account operations for an $80 M account for this Fortune 500 Telecomunications company. The Director has direct responsibility for supervision and development of Strategic Account Managers, Account Executives, and Mobility Specialists. The position develops and recommends a comprehensive sales plan for maintenance and growth for the client,  maintains contact and rapport with delivery partners within assigned areas to insure best results overall, assists in major contract negotiations.  The Director  builds and maintains relationships/stewardship at all levels with the client to maximize opportunities for continued and future business, helps facilitate the positioning of company executives at the proper contacts with the client. The candidate needs to demonstrate a broad knowledge of business, industry and company as well as technical acumen, to solve unique and complex issues and opportunities.

Required Qualifications

  • 7 or more years of relevant sales experience
  • 5 or more years of consultative and solution based sales experience
  • 5 or more years of telecommunication sales experience including successful identification, qualification, proposing and positioning opportunities (IP/MPLS/VPN/Security) MIS, ANIRA, PNT, EVPN, AVPN and MSS
  • Strong EVPN, MPLS, International and Voice knowledge and sales ability
  • Knowledge of LANs, WANs, and supporting hardware and software
  • Understanding of internetworking
  • Application sales experience that includes Hosting, Digital Media Solutions, Unified Communications, Cloud Services, Applications Management, Consulting & Integration, Emerging Technologies
  • Technical sales experience and/or technical consultation experience
  • Large Fortune business account sales experience
  • C-Level, executive business sales experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Pass interview/assessment qualifications
  • Must have valid driver’s license and personal vehicle.

  • Market knowledge including strategy, strengths and vulnerabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly learn a technical product, service, and/or emerging technology.
  • BA in Marketing or BS in CS, EE or MIS
